A game made for the Major Jam #3

In Back N´Time, you have been connected to two computers, an old one and a modern one, to test B2N5T, a new technology that allows you to change between the two in a press of a button.

Try not to fall into the pit, get pulverized by a lase.

This is a helluva oddball game in a good way. Like the text on the screen. Very much a "Paranoia RPG" kind of stuff that I love. Surreal and weird. Very interesting game.

I like epic gamer moment

Fun concept! Nice art & sounds!

Thanks!

this game is really nice!

Thanks!

This game has potential.

And I'm interested to see how much potential could come out of this.

The base is there, it works, it's good, and I think that with the right materials, this could turn out to be a very good game.

I enjoy the cute and Flash-reminiscent graphics and music, they give this game personality. The right game design ideas are there, but could do with a bit more fine-tuned difficulty scaling.

However, one thing in particular which I didn't like was the camera. It's really inconvenient, especially for a platformer where you always need to be able to foresee your next actions. And with such a limiting view and low camera, it becomes hard to make consistent progress as you are unable to tell where to land or jump to.

One thing that would benefit the game is a silhouette of the objects that appear when switching dimensions. This would help the flow of the game.

Good job so far, if you could manage to fix these issues then you'll have a great little game.

Thank you so much! The reason the camera is like this is because the limitation of the jam is 96x96 :/. And that silhouette thing it´s a really great idea!

You could move the camera down, that would also work.

Haha nice :D

Thanks for the feedback!

I really enjoyed playing this game! Ending was great and unexpected, not too hard or too easy, music and graphics were amazing! I'm glad I downloaded this, and I ma looking forward to playing more games by you guys in the future!

Wow, I cant believe this game will get played only by a few who are willing to download it on their system, the game mechanics are amazing and I could not have asked for a better artstyle, the story is out of this world, I am really amused at this being made only by three guys. Playing this until the end is worth it and has made me feel something that I will keep deep into my soul for a while.
Ever since I played Chrono Trigger, I have never seen a game pay tribute to the time travelling trope as greatly as this one, Its a must play, I would give anything, if I could replay this as if it was the first time. Simple perfect, deserves to win, indeed

I can't express how HaPPy I am for you saying these wonderful things about Back'n Time, it warms our hearts that people like it. Fun Fact #1 - There are multiple versions on this game, which I currently keep on my desktop. Fun Fact #2 - 10 hours before the jam ended, we were stressing because me and Mark have the same time zone and Benja doesn't, so Mark and I had to go to sleep and we felt bad for leaving Benja alone, but, Benja being Benja, managed to publish the project on itch.io, so that's why he is awesome. Thank you for taking time out of your day to play this game we worked on with much passion.

True lol
